The famous Shed nightclub in the southside of Glasgow is set to re-open, with a new name.

The club’s social media has been rebranded as The Marlborough – the original name of the building.

The venue, in Shawlands, closed its doors to customers in September last year.

Their post on social media teases: “We’ve heard the whispers, we’re sure you have too, but it won’t be long now… Marlborough nights coming soon.”

The Shed hosted a series of farewell events before it shut for the last time, after 26 years as a part of Glasgow’s nightlife.

The building, located on Langside Avenue, has been used as a hospitality venue since it was built the 1920s, and was originally named after the Duke of Marlborough.
