Glasgow man appears on court on 'attempted kidnap' charges

A Glasgow man's been charged in connection with an alleged kidnap attempt in Carlisle.

59-year-old Alan Hughes appeared before Carlisle Magistrates Court earlier and was remanded in until his next court appearance.

It follows reports that a 27-year-old woman was attacked on Harraby Green Road on Friday night.
