Glasgow drug dealer ordered to repay six-figure proceeds of crime

A Glasgow man been ordered to repay more than £100,000 under the proceeds of crime act after admitting supplying heroin and cocaine.

Peter Fox was jailed for eight years in December 2016 after he admitted two drugs offences which were linked with serious organised crime.

An investigation found that the 42-year-old had acquired a wide range of luxury items including designer watches and jewellery worth nearly £78,000, a Mercedes worth £16,000, three other cars and £5,000 cash.

A confiscation order for £100,000 against Fox was granted at the High Court in Edinburgh today (Thursday).

Liam Murphy, Procurator Fiscal, Specialist Casework, said:

“Our proceeds of crime team have been working to ensure the luxury goods Fox had acquired have been included within the order made against him today.

“This should serve as a warning to all criminals involved in supplying drugs. We will not stop at prosecution. We will use the laws available to us to ensure money obtained through crime is confiscated from those who do not deserve it and reinvested into the community.
