Votes will be counted today (Friday) at the Emirates Arena after voters when to the polls yesterday. Glasgow's results are expected at around 4.30pm.
There’s a total of 84 seats up from grabs across the city’s 23 wards.
The council is currently led by an SNP administration with Susan Aitken at the helm.
The party has been in power since 2017 when they were elected with 39 seats, creating a minority administration, with members of the party filling the council leader, deputy leader and Lord Provost roles.
It was the first time since 1974 that Glasgow City Council has not been led by a Labour administration with the party receiving 31 seats - a loss of 13 from the previous election in 2012.
Polls opened at 7am on Thursday and closed at 10pm.
Scotland's local government elections are conducted using the single transferable vote (STV) system, with voters asked to rank candidates according to their preferences.
