Glasgow Car Smash Lands Two In Hospital

Road Policing Officers at Helen Street, Glasgow are continuing enquiries and appealing for witnesses after a serious road crash in Glasgow earlier today, Tuesday 17 March 2015.

Around 0100 hours this morning, a 32 year-old man was driving his Alfa Romeo car on Great Western Road, near to its junction with Blairdardie Road when it collided with a parked Skoda Octavia car.

Emergency services attended and the 32 year-old driver and his 26 year-old female passenger were taken by ambulance to the Western Infirmary in Glasgow where they are being treated for their injuries.

Hospital staff describe their condition as serious.

Inspector Craig Linton at the Road Policing Department at Helen Street is appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact Police Scotland on 101
