The city's newest sporting venue - the Glasgow BMX Centre - has opened to the public. The Knightswood centre was built ahead of the Glasgow 2018 European Championships, the only new permanent venue constructed for the competition.

Its completion made Glasgow the only city in the world capable of hosting all four Olympic cycling disciplines within the city boundaries.

Young BMX riders from local club, Western Titans, joined representatives from the Scottish Government, Glasgow City Council, and sportscotland to formally open the venue.

The venue is located at: 173a Archerhill Road, G13 3LF.
