Glasgow BGT finalist to perform at Pride of Scotland Awards tonight
Vinnie McKee will be making his debut at the star-studded bash in the centre of town tonight.
A Glasgow man who made the live final of Britain's Got Talent last month is making his performing debut at the Pride of Scotland Awards tonight.
Vinnie McKee placed 8th in this year's series of Simon Cowell's juggernaut show and says he can't wait to perform in front of a packed room in his home city.
He said: "Since coming off the show, I feel like I can finally be the singer I always wanted to be and be more creative with my decisions.
"I've hardly had the time to stop and take it all in but it doesn't feel like work.
"This is an absolute honour and it's important not to forget why we are there - to recognise the country's heroes."
The event is being hosted by Scottish comedy legends Elaine C Smith and Sanjeev Kohli at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow.
Winners have been selected by a dedicated judging panel from a shortlist drawn up from thousands of nominations.
Vinnie added: "I think I'll feel exhausted when I come off-stage.
"Your energy levels are always really high and it's like being on a come down.
"I am looking forward to coming off, sitting with my friends and enjoying a wee glass of wine."
