George visits GBX's oldest fan

Martha McKenzie recently turned 100 years old at the Wyndford Locks Care Home in Maryhill.

After George Bowie read an article about how she spends her weekends listening to the GBX on Friday & Saturday nights whilst sipping a Southern Comfort & Lemonade, he decided to pay her a visit.

George brought her some flowers for her Birthday, and when presented with them she replied "Ach, they're alright".

George said "It was amazing to go and visit Martha for her 100th Birthday, she's an inspiration to all of us. I hope I'm still raving away at 100 years old! She can get a shout out on the GBX anytime she wants"

George gave her a shout out on Saturday nights show, and of course the song he decided to play was 'Forever Young'
