Generator stolen from breast screening unit in Wishaw

A generator and trailer have been stolen from a mobile breast cancer screening facility in Wishaw. It was taken at around 10 O'Clock at night from the car park of Wishaw Sports Centre on Monday the 27th of November - the previous Thursday night an air compressor had been stolen on Glasgow Road in Wishaw.

Police say both items are large and would have been towed.

A spokesperson said: Between 6PM on Thursday 23rd November and 8AM Friday 24th November 2023 a Compare air compressor was stolen from premises on Glasgow Road Wishaw.

At approximately 10PM on Monday 27th November a generator and trailer were stolen from the breast cancer screening facility situated within the car park of Wishaw sports centre, Alexander Street.

Both items are large and would have required to have been towed using another vehicle.

We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed these Thefts or who may have dashcam footage which could assist enquiries.”
