Road closures in place in Glasgow following gas leak
It happened in Inverewe Avenue this evening
Several roads in Glasgow are closed this evening after a gas leak in Inverewe Avenue.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5 o'clock, with a number of properties evacuated as a precaution.
The M77 northbound and southbound at Nitshill Road is closed, as well as Nitshill Road to Loganswell Road, and Nitshill Road to Kyleakin Road.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told us: “Around 5pm on Thursday, 11 May, 2023, we received a report of a gas leak in Inverewe Avenue, Glasgow.
“A number of properties have been evacuated as a precaution and a cordon has been put in place. Nearby roads have been closed.
