Garage worker left with 'serious leg injuries' in Greenock

A garage worker's been left badly injured following an accident at the Arnold Clark garage in Greenock.

A garage worker's been left badly injured following an accident at the Arnold Clark garage in Greenock.

The 55-year-old's being treated for serious leg injuries at Inverclyde Royal Hospital.

Police say his condition’s not believed to be life threatening.

An air ambulance had been called to the scene on Port Glasgow Road but was later sent away.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A 55-year-old man was injured in the workshop around 8.20am this morning.”

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: “We dispatched one ambulance, our emergency medical retrieval service, an ambulance officer and our helicopter air ambulance.

"One male patient in his 50s was taken to Inverclyde Royal Hospital by ambulance.”
