Funeral plans for comedian Janey Godley announced
The details were shared by her daughter Ashley Storrie
The funeral of Glasgow comedian Janey Godley will be held on November 30 as part of a two day “final tour”.
Her daughter Ashley Storrie announced the plans on social media, a week after the 63 year old died in hospice, having received palliative care for terminal cancer.
The hearse set off on Friday November 29 through Janey’s “beloved Festival Home” of Edinburgh, beginning in Lawnmarket at 2.30pm before heading down the Mile to St Giles Cathedral.
On Saturday November 30, the coffin will “head home to Glasgow”, where a funeral service will be held at 10am at St Mary’s Cathedral on Great Western Road.
The statement to Janey’s social media was finished: “Thanks again everyone for all the love and support – it has been greatly received and does help so much”.
