Four showdogs worth £2,400 stolen from Renfrew property
Four showdogs worth up to £2,400 have been stolen from a garden in Renfrew.
Three Lakeland Terriers, one a champion, and a Lurcher were taken from the back of a property in Kiklandneuk Road in the Renfrewshire town on Sunday January 3 between 6pm and 10.45pm.
Police said a silver van was noticed in the area at the time of the incident and appealed for anyone who saw the van or knows anything about the theft to contact the non-emergency 101 number.
The dogs, which have an estimated value of between £400 and £600 each, are described as a five-month-old Lakeland terrier which has a distinctive black stripe running from his eyes to his nose, a six-year-old Lakeland terrier with scarring on its nose, an 18-month-old Lakeland terrier and a female four-year-old Lurcher which has recently received medical treatment for an injured left hind leg.
The owner of the dogs has appealed for their safe return after expressing his concerns about the theft.
