Four people have been rescued after getting into difficulty at a waterfall beauty spot.

Four people have been rescued after getting into difficulty at a waterfall beauty spot.

The four were airlifted from the Falls of Falloch in Stirlingshire following a major emergency service response.

They are not understood to have been injured in the incident.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police in Forth Valley were called to the Falls of Falloch by Loch Lomond at 13.15pm on Wednesday to assist in the rescue of four females from the middle of the Falls.

"Following a multi-agency response involving the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, the Scottish Ambulance Service and the Killin Mountain Rescue Team, the Rescue 999 helicopter lifted all four to safety at around 4.50pm.''
