Four People Hurt In Two Car Crash on A73

Four people have been injured in a crash involving two cars.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene on the A73 near Newhouse in North Lanarkshire at about 9.05am today.

Firefighters used hydraulic cutting gear to free two people from the vehicles.

A woman and two men were taken to Wishaw General Hospital and a third man to Monklands Hospital in Airdrie.

The road was closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the crash.
