Founder of Celtic Boys Club released on bail

The founder of Celtic Boys Club Jim Torbett has appeared in court on a string of historic sex charges.

The founder of Celtic Boys Club Jim Torbett has appeared in court on a string of historic sex charges.

The 69-year-old faces six charges; three accuse him of lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and three are charges of indecent assault.

He appeared from custody in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday (Fri) where he was represented by advocate Tony Graham.

Torbett made no plea and was released on bail by sheriff John McCormick.
