Foodbank founder to stand trial accused of embezzlement
The founder of a foodbank is to stand trial later this year for allegedly embezzling ÂŁ15,000.
Julie Webster, 41, is charged with pocketing the money between March and December 2015 from Greater Maryhill foodbank.
Webster, from Summerston, Glasgow pled not guilty through a letter from her lawyer when the case called at the city’s sheriff court.
Prosecutors claim that she did 'while coordinator of Greater Maryhill foodbank, embezzle ÂŁ15,000' from the foodbank at Chapel Street.
A trial was set for June.
