Flood warnings in place with heavy rain forecast in parts of Scotland throughout the day
The already saturated ground increases the risk of some localised flooding
The Met Office are forecasting heavy rain for the rest of the day which could lead to flooding in some parts of the region.
SEPA has issued five regional flood alerts, with heavy rain expected until midnight, particularly across Dumfries & Galloway, Clackmannanshire, Stirling, Argyll & Bute, Dundee, Perth and Kinross.
Forecasters are warning that buses and trains may be affected, with journey times taking longer, while flooding of homes and businesses is possible.
Forecasters say 20-30mm of rain is expected with 45mm possible on high ground, and given the saturated ground there is a risk of some localised flooding.
