Five appear in court accused of murdering man in Dennistoun

Court papers state the five repeatedly punched and kicked him on the head and body on April 17th.

Five suspects have appeared at court accused of murdering Craig Watson.

Robert Greig, 30, Kieran Crawford, 19, Jamie Fullerton, 19, as well as 17 and 15-year-old boys allegedly assaulted Mr Watson in Glasgow's Dennistoun on April 17, 2022.

Court papers state the five pursued as well as repeatedly punched and kicked him on the head and body to his severe injury and murder.

Mr Watson was pronounced dead around midnight on Sunday at Whitevale Gardens.

Greig, of Dennistoun, represented by Paul Sweeney, Crawford, also of Dennistoun, represented by Ryan Sloan, Fullerton, of Haghill, represented by Marisa Borland and the teenagers represented by Callum Hiller and Ron Mackenna, made no plea at a private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

They were also committed for further examination.

Greig was remanded in custody by sheriff Brian Cameron and will appear at court again within the next eight days.

The other suspects were granted bail and their next court date is to be determined.
