First Bus has announced free travel across all four of its night bus services in Glasgow in the early hours of the 1st January 2024.

Those heading home after a night of festivities can take the bus to Easterhouse, East Kilbride, Cleland and Hamilton without paying a penny.

The initiative will be offered on the N2, N18, N240 and N267 services to help people get home safely from the city centre during one of the biggest celebratory nights of the year.

Graeme Macfarlan, Commerical Director for First Bus Scotland, said: “We are delighted to offer free travel on our night bus services across Glasgow in the early hours of 1st January to help people get home safely while not having to worry about putting their hand in their pocket.”

First Bus is the city’s largest bus operator which runs regular night bus services across four main routes between 12:45am and 3am on Friday and Saturday nights.

Its night bus service runs to provide travel to those getting home from night outs in the city centre, with the motto “late night plans start with a stop.”
