First big act revealed for Glasgow's MOBO Awards

British band Chase & Status have been confirmed as the first big act joining this year’s MOBO Awards.

British band Chase & Status have been confirmed as the first big act joining this year’s MOBO Awards.

Having recently announced their 2016 UK tour, the band is now set to light up the MOBO Awards at The SSE Hydro Arena on Friday 4th November.

Chase & Status said:* *“The MOBOs are a real institution and we’re looking forward to bringing our live show and some very special guests to the stage.”

Kanya King MBE, Founder & CEO of the MOBO Organisation, commented: “And this is only the beginning of our 21st anniversary celebration – we are preparing for a most memorable evening with the best talent and inspirational guests to continue our work started 21 years ago supporting diversity and inclusion. We have some great new initiatives on the way; it’s all very exciting.”

As this year’s host city, Glasgow is welcoming the MOBO Awards for a 4th time following their first visit to Scotland back in 2009.

The MOBO Awards 2016 is supported by EventScotland, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, the Scottish Government and Scottish Enterprise.
