Firefighters tackle large blaze at former university campus building
Thick clouds of black smoke can be seen coming from the Jordanhill building which is derelict.
Firefighters are tackling a large fire at the former Jordanhill Campus in Glasgow’s West End.
Five fire engines attended the blaze at building on Southbrae Road after being called out at around 4pm.
The derelict site used to be part of Strathclyde University until 2012 and is currently being turned into luxury flats by CALA Homes.
Clouds of thick black smoke can be seen across the city.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: "The SFRS were alerted toa fire at a derelict building at around 3.57pm on Saturday.
"Four fire engines attended a well-developed fire in Southbrae Drive, Glasgow.
"Crews remain at the scene.
