Detectives are continuing enquiries and appealing for information after a firearm was discharged at a flat in Drumchapel, Glasgow.

The alarm was raised shortly after midnight on Tuesday after a bang was heard from a flat in Southdeen Avenue.

No one was in the flat at the time and no one was injured, however a window was damaged as a result.

A white Ford Transit can, officers suspect may be involved in the incident was found abandoned on Achamore Road, Drumchapel a short time later.

An incident room has been set up at Drumchapel Police Office and Detective Inspector Greig Wilkie is appealing for information.

He said:“Enquiries are continuing in the area with officers carrying out door to door enquiries and studying CCTV footage.

"I would urge anyone with information that may assist our enquiry, or who saw the white Ford Transit van in the area around the time of the incident to contact us through 101. Alternatively CRIMESTOPPERS can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
