Four fire crews battle blaze in a Govanhill business
Emergency services were called just before 11 o'clock this morning
Fire crews are working to extinguish a blaze in a business on Glasgow's south side.
Emergency services have been on the scene on South Annandale Street in Govanhill since just before 11 o'clock this morning.
No one has been hurt, but roads in the area are currently sealed off.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.50am on Thursday, 2 November, to reports of a fire within a commercial building in South Annandale Street, Glasgow.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances and specialist resources to the scene.
“Firefighters currently remain on the scene working to make the area safe.
“There are no casualties.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11am on Thursday, 2 November, 2023, police were made aware of a fire in the South Annandale Street area of Glasgow.
"Officers remain at the scene providing assistance to SFRS colleagues.”
