Appeal for information following suspicious Helensburgh fire

Officers believe the fire at an old school building was started deliberately

Police are appealing for information about the cause of a fire which broke out in a derelict building at Hermitage Primary School in Helensburgh early on Monday morning.

It happened around 5.15am on 12th April in the old annexe building in East Argyle Street.

Emergency services attended and officers believe the fire was started deliberately.

No-one was injured and the building has been extensively damaged in the fire.

An investigation is under way to establish the cause of the fire.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to contact them.
