Emergency crews were called to Shettleston Road around 12.20am and a number of residents were evacuated.
Enquiries into the cause are ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:
"Around 12.20am on Wednesday, 29 November, police were called to a report of a fire at a block of flats in Shettleston Road, Glasgow."
"Officers attended to assist and a number of residents were evacuated. Two people were taken to hospital."
"Enquiries are ongoing into the cause of the fire."
