Fire crews tackle blaze in the centre of Glasgow
It broke out in Cadogan Street on Saturday morning
A fire in Glasgow which sent smoke billowing across the city centre has been brought under control.
A member of the public raised the alarm at 8.50am after the blaze broke out in a office block under renovation in Cadogan Street.
Four fire engines were sent to the scene and a spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the fire has now been brought under control.
She said there were no casualties and no indication that nearby buildings were evacuated.
Police closed Cadogan Street at Blythswood Square while the blaze was dealt with.
