Female passenger hurt after crash involving police car in Fife

It happened on the B981 Inverkeithing to Dunfermline Road, near Fordell around 3pm on Friday.

A female passenger has been hurt in a crash involving a police car in Fife.

The vehicle she was in was involved in the collision on the B981 Inverkeithing to Dunfermline Road, near Fordell around 3pm on Friday.

The woman isn't though to be seriously hurt and there are no reports of injuries to the drivers.

The road has been shut to allow an accident investigation to take place.

Police Scotland spokesperson said:

"We can confirm that a single-crewed marked police vehicle was in collision with another vehicle on the B981 Inverkeithing to Dunfermline Road, near Fordell around 3pm on Friday, 21 August, 2020.

An ambulance attended to treat the female passenger in the car, who was taken to the Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, to be checked over. There are no reports of injuries to the drivers.

The road is currently closed for accident investigation."
