Father and Teenage Son Attacked by Pair of Youths in Castlemilk
A 15-year-old boy was assaulted by two youths who then attacked his father when he tried to help.
The teenager was walking in Ardencraig Quadrant in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow when he was approached by the pair at around 8.05pm on Friday and seriously assaulted, police said.
His 52-year-old father saw the incident and ran to help but was also attacked.
They were both taken to hospital where they were treated for facial injuries and later released.
The two suspects are described as white, between 17 and 21, and wearing dark clothing.
Detective Constable Peter McFarlane said: These were violent and unprovoked attacks and officers are currently carrying out house to house enquiries and reviewing CCTV images in their ongoing efforts to identify the two responsible.
Although we believe this to be a random incident, there will be additional patrols in the area to provide public reassurance.''
