The family of a missing Saltcoats teenager is issuing a fresh appeal for help to find him.

Jamie Cannon, 19, was last seen leaving Kinnier Road two weeks ago on Thursday 20th May.

Searches have been taking place around the area in a desperate attempt to find him or any clues as to his whereabouts.

His cousin, Leaeanne Graham, says, “We’ve been around Stevenston, Saltcoats, Irvine and down to Auchenharvie beach as well. There are still no sightings.

“Lots of friends and family have been sharing his photo. We now have a Facebook page too to help keep his picture out there and that has been so helpful to share posts.

“If anyone has seen him or knows information, just please get in contact with anyone.

“The family are worried sick and we just want Jamie home.”

Extensive enquiries have already been carried out by Police Scotland, with the support of specially trained dogs.

Jamie is described as 6ft 1 tall, with short dark hair. When he was last seen he was wearing grey jogging bottoms, grey trainers, a blue jacket and was carrying a camouflage backpack.

Inspector Alison Wilson of Saltcoats police office said: “We, along with his family, remain extremely concerned for his welfare.

“I would like to thank members of the public and media who have assisted officers so far in our enquiries, but I would urge anyone who might have any information which might help us to find Jamie to get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone who may have been in the area when he went missing or anyone who was driving and recording via a dashcam device to check your footage and please come forward as soon as possible with anything of relevance.

“Jamie, if you are reading this appeal, please make contact with police or your family and friends to let them know you are safe and well, everyone is very worried about you.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 1623 of 22 May.
