Family of man whose body was found in Loch Lomond 'devastated'

The family of a man whose body was found in Loch Lomond has been devastated'' by his death. The remains of Scott Murray, 56, were recovered at the beauty spot on Sunday.

Police were alerted after an empty boat ran aground near Cameron House hotel.

His death is being treated as unexplained.

Mr Murray, a retired car salesman from West Linton in the Scottish Borders, is survived by his mother, partner and daughter.

A family friend told the Press Association: His family and friends are devastated by his loss. He will be very much missed.''

Mr Murray was said to be well known in the village of West Linton and among the boating community on Loch Lomond.

Inquiries into the circumstances of his death are continuing.
