The family of missing Clydebank teenager Scott Diver say he might have gone to meet someone he'd met online.

Composed through the worry, Scott Diver senior and Amy Diver talk exclusively to Clyde News about their concerns since 16-year-old disappeared nearly a month ago.

They describe him as a typical teenager who had his ups and downs but that he was clever, smart and articulate.

Sister Amy Diver, 23, said: “If he has made the decision to go away for any reason, we don’t think he would be sleeping rough, definitely don’t think after all this time. That’s what kind of making us think maybe he’s got someone helping him and letting him stay in their house. That’s why no one’s spotted him, maybe.

“I think if he was going to do something like this, he’d have something planned. He wouldn’t just go on a whim. He’d know where he was going.”

“The last time I saw him he was up visiting my baby, she’s 11 weeks. He was up seeing her and giving her a bottle. It’s such a shame as she’s changed so much in the time he’s been away. But he was happy.”

Dad, also called Scott Diver, 33, said: “A lot of Scott’s activity was done through X-Box Live or on Facebook on his phone and the far-reaches of that could be anywhere. If he’s met someone who has wanted to help him, who is maybe not even in this country, he could be in England. It’s not that far away on a bus, it’s only a couple of hours away. He could have made that decision. Although he’d still be on a camera somewhere, in those first few hours, he could be anywhere.”
