More than 2,000 people in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde health board area have been sent inaccurate vaccine appointment details.

A technical glitch means everyone who is due to get their Covid-19 jag on March 28th is being sent a new letter.

It comes after Clyde 1 heard from people who noticed their letter, and the online confirmation, listed different appointment times.

After we raised the issue with the government, the health board is now contacting the 2,343 people affected.

Kate, from Newton Mearns, is one of them.

She said: "I didn't want to arrive an hour early or, more to the point, an hour after I should get my jag, and be told to go away and rearrange the appointment.

"I think the vaccination programme has been running quite well so far, and I think a lot of people will be in the same position as myself, and will be quite keen to get it."

A Scottish Government spokesperson said: “We have become aware that vaccine invitation letters for Sunday 28 March in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have the incorrect time.

"In line with the clocks changing, the actual time of appointment is one hour later. No other health boards or dates are affected.

“We apologise for the error. New letters will be sent with the correct time, and an apology for any confusion.”
