Published 24th Nov 2020

The family of a missing teenager from Cambuslang claim his disappearance is completely out of character.

Kai Rae, 16, has not been seen since yesterday morning and his parents are telling Clyde News they do not know where to start looking for him.

His dad, Cameron, said: “Kai spends most of his time at home in Cambuslang or travelling to college in Anniesland.

“We have been looking for him in all the usual places, but we don’t know where he has gone or where he might be.”

In a personal plea to the student mechanic, he asked for him to make contact with them.

Cameron added: “Kai, please just come home.

“Your mum and I just want to see you back safe.”

Police Scotland said: "Kai was last seen about 0850hrs on Monday 23rd November 2020 at Castle Chimmins Rd, Cambuslang, Glasgow.

"Kai is white, male, 5'6", slim build with short brown hair, his clothing worn is unknown at this time.

"If anyone has any information as to the whereabouts of Kai please contact Police via 101 and quote incident number 20201123-1144."
