Emergency services have launched a search after a pair of shoes was found beside a bridge.

Emergency services have launched a search after a pair of shoes was found beside a bridge.

A member of the public alerted police at about 10.20am after finding the footwear near the King George V bridge in Glasgow.

Police, the fire service and coastguard are investigating whether someone has landed in the River Clyde.

However, no-one has reported seeing anyone going into the water.
