Elfingrove returns to Glasgow bigger and better than before
The Winter Wonderland at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum opens tonight.
Elfingrove returns to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in the West End of Glasgow tonight to get people in the mood for Christmas.
The popular festive experience will run between now and Christmas Eve and organisers claim it is "bigger" and "snowier" than before.
Christmas songs will be in full flow and this year it will feature the UK's first ever Snow Wheel.
Organiser Oli Norman told Clyde 1: "Size does matter and even though it was already huge last year, we now have the UK's largest ice rink.
"Even if you are not a fan of ice skating, you will still love this because we have two giant circles and two tracks for people to skate.
"We also have a bar where you can grab a drink as well as 'Candyland' where you can have a sweet treat or join a silent disco."
Elfingrove runs between November 24th-December 24th:
Under 5s will also have a dedicated 'Toddler Ice Rink' where they can slide around while accompanied by an adult.
Visitors are being reminded that Santa Claus is always watching and they will have to be on their best behaviour at the event as he will be on hand for skate sessions with little and big believers.
Oli added: “It takes a team of over 150 people to make Elfingrove happen.
"In a year of doom and gloom our mission is to light up our home city and bring joy, and we are so excited to do that with Elfingrove.
“We are also bringing back our E.L.Fund which will distribute 4,000 free tickets to local groups and charities who may otherwise not have been able to attend.”
