80-year old woman dies after being hit by car in Johnstone

An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car in Johnstone.

Police were called to Walkinshaw Street at around 11.45am on Thursday 29th October, next to the junction with the High Street.

Two women, one aged 73 and one aged 80, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment, however the 80-year old has sadly died.

Enquiries are ongoing into the full circumstances of what happened and anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1140 of Thursday, 29 October 2020.
