83 year-old-man dies after crash inside Glasgow garage

An elderly man has died after the car he was driving hit another, unoccupied, vehicle inside a Scotstoun garage.

It happened at a vehicle repair centre on South Street around 3.30pm on Thursday afternoon.

Enquiries are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "An 83-year-old man has died after his vehicle was involved in a collision at a vehicle repair centre on South Street in Glasgow.

“The incident happened around 3.30pm on Thursday, 28 October.

“The vehicle, driven by the 83 year old, struck an unoccupied vehicle which was being repaired within the premises.

“Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.”
