Scotland's Olympic medal-winning swimmer Duncan Scott has pulled out of the World Championships, to focus on his recovery from Covid-19.

The 25-year-old tested positive last month, and says he is struggling with high-intensity training.

In a tweet, he said he is "absolutely devastated", but has to "put his health first".

The competition, which is being held in Budapest, begins on Friday.
