Duke Street closed as police investigate crash with car and cyclist

Police officers say the occupants of the car left the scene on foot

Duke Street in Glasgow is closed off to cars after an accident involving a vehicle and a cyclist.

Emergency services were called to the scene, between Millerston Street and Bellgrove Street, at around 9.50am on Monday 4th September, 2023.

The people inside the vehicle left the scene on foot - and the male cyclist's been taken to hospital for treatment.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.50am on Monday, 4 September, 2023, police were called to the Duke Street area of Glasgow, following a report of a crash involving a car and a cyclist.

"The male cyclist has been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"The occupants of the car left the scene on foot and emergency services remain in the area. Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.”
