A man, who's pleaded guilty to stabbing a 20-year old with a novelty keyring, could face jail.
John Wolfe, 27, attacked Scott McCran, 20, outside a newsagents in Drumchapel in January this year.
The pair had earlier been in a heated argument at a nearby flat.
Wolfe asked Mr McCran’s friend Amy Rathbone, 20, to be in a relationship, but she rejected him.
He then refused to leave and Mr McCran was called to help her get Wolfe out of the flat.
Mr McCran followed Wolfe out the flat and was stabbed with a kubotan keyring.
Wolfe pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court today to the assault, which severely injured Mr McCran.
The court heard Wolfe was told to "stay away" by Mr McCran seconds before he pounced on him in Drumry Road East.
CCTV showed Mr McCran pushing Wolfe a couple of times before the blade attack.
Wolfe fled the scene and was arrested at his home. He told police: "He pulled a razor blade at me."
Mr McCran had a wound to the left side of his body which required four stitches.
Sheriff Alan Mackenzie deferred sentence for reports until the end of the month.
Wolfe, from Drumchapel, was granted bail.
