Pensioner hurt in e-bike hit-and-run in Drumchapel

The bike was being ridden by two boys wearing balaclavas.

A pensioner's been hurt in an e-bike hit-and-run in Drumchapel.

Around 4.30pm on Monday a 76-year-old man was struck by a small electric motorbike which was being ridden by two boys wearing balaclavas on Glenkirk Drive.

Emergency services attended and the man was checked over by paramedics.

Constable John O’Hara from Road Policing said:

“This reckless incident took place in broad daylight in a residential area and we are appealing to anyone who saw what happened to come forward.

“We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area as this could be crucial to our investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2426 of Monday, 17 June, 2024.”
