Drugs worth £100,000 have been found in a property in Cambuslang.

Officers searched a building on Quarry Avenue around 6.50pm last Friday.

It is believed the drug is herbal cannabis.

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection.

She has been released on an undertaking and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.50pm on Friday, 1 November 2024, officers acting under warrant searched a premises on Quarry Avenue, Cambuslang.

“A quantity of controlled drugs, believed to be herbal cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000, was recovered.

“A 24-year- old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the find.

“She has been released on an undertaking and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
