Drugs worth £150,000 recovered during police operation in Motherwell

Two men have been arrested after £150,000 worth of drugs were recovered during a police operation in Motherwell on Friday.

Officers stopped and searched a car in Jerviston Street at around 3.30pm and discovered a quantity of what is believed to be heroin.

A 37 year old man has been arrested in connection with the seizure. Officers also searched a house in Jerviston Street, Motherwell and a property in Langa Street, Glasgow in connection with the same operation.

A quantity of cash was also recovered.
