Driver killed in lorry crash named as Patricia McAuslan, 32

A woman who died after a car crashed with a lorry has been named by police.

Patricia McAuslan, 32, died at the scene of the collision between the Ford Focus she was driving and a Scania lorry on the A701 near Parkgate, in Dumfries and Galloway, last Thursday.

Officers closed the road while they examined the scene and appealed for witnesses.

The lorry driver was not injured and a report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.

The family of Ms McAuslan, from Glasgow, have been informed.
