The team leader of Lomond Mountain Rescue Team is asking the public to be prepared and research properly when planning a trip to the Devil's Pulpit.
The beauty hotspot near Drymen, has seen four emergency crew call-outs in the last three weeks.
The spot, made famous by TV shows like Outlander, has most recently been the centre of attention due to dangerous parking nearby to get to the gorge.
But rescue teams say they're now having issues with the safety of people once they start making their way down the gorge.
David Dodson, team leader of Lomond Mountain Rescue Team, said: "It is quite a dangerous location if you're not careful.
"We've been called out there four times in the last three weeks to people basically getting stuck in situations where they can't get themselves out.
"It is a very dangerous area with precipitous drops.
"If you're not wearing the right footwear and if you're not careful or have not done the research in terms of access to the gorge, then potentially you are putting yourself into danger.
"Once you're in the gorge area, please make sure you have appropriate footwear.
"The ground can be very muddy and it's very loose, and even if you think you're far enough away from the edge, it's quite easy to slip and possibly fall in.
"If there's been heavy rain in previous days, then a significant amount of water will be channeled through quite a narrow gorge.
"That'll make access very difficult and potentially you could get yourself into severe difficulty."
