Detectives are treating the death of a man in Pollokshaws last night as murder.
Detectives are treating the death of a man in Pollokshaws last night as murder.
30 year-old Owen Hassan was found with serious injuries in Greenview Street around 10.25pm .
He died in hospital.
Relatives are aware and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Detective Inspector Graham MacKellar of the Major Investigation Teams (West) said:
“This was an extremely violent assault and at this time we are trying to establish the exact circumstances and motive for such an attack. Officers are currently viewing CCTV and speaking to local people in the area in an attempt to gather more information.
“I appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Greenview Street around 10.20pm last night (Wednesday 7 November) and either witnessed Mr Hassan being assaulted, or perhaps saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, to come forward.
“Anyone with information which may assist the investigation to contact police immediately via telephone number 101, quoting incident number 4167 of 7 November 2018.”
