Detectives treat death of woman in Ayr as murder
The woman was found dead in a house just off Whitletts Road.
The death of a woman in Ayr is now being treated as murder by police.
Ann McLean, 41, was found in a property on Main Road just off Whitletts Road early on Wednesday 28th of November.
A man was also taken to hospital with serious injuries following the incident but there is no update on his condition.
The road was cordoned off for several hours and detectives still remain at the house a week after the incident.
A statment from police says, "Extensive enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Ayr CID via 101, quoting incident number 0380 of Wednesday 28 November 2018."
