Detectives investigating theft of dog in Glasgow city centre

It is reported the black Labrador was taken from outside a building on Hope Street last Saturday evening.

Detectives are investigating after a dog was stolen in the city centre of Glasgow.

The black Labrador was reportedly taken from outside a building on Hope Street at around 7.50pm on Saturday, 13 August, 2022.

The suspect is described as being male, around 25-30 years old, around 5ft 11in in height, of slim build with short brown hair.

He was wearing a grey Nike tracksuit and black trainers.

Detective Constable Kimberley Douglas said: “The theft of the dog has caused considerable distress to the owners.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us, who hasn’t already spoken to police to get in touch.

“The area was busy at the time and I would also ask anyone who was in the area and noticed anything suspicious to contact us.”
