Can you help police investigating a bus fire in Glasgow?

The bus stopped on Corkerhill Road at the junction with Braidcraft Road around 10.05pm on Thursday, 2 March, 2023 when it was established there was a fire on the top deck.

Detective Inspector William Downie of Govan CID said: “The bus has been extensively damaged and 12 passengers were evacuated. This reckless conduct could have had more serious consequences for those people.

“We are keen to trace three youths, aged 15-18 years, who got on the bus at Silverburn Shopping Centre and left the bus Corkerhill Road just after the Braidcraft Road roundabout.

“One is described as being around 5ft 7 inches tall, with short shaved dark hair, wearing a dark top and grey jogging bottoms. The second one is described as being about 5ft 9 inches tall, of medium build, short dark hair, and curls at the front. He was wearing a dark top. The third is described as being of thin build, wearing a dark hooded top with the hood up.

“We are also keen to trace some of the passengers who had left before police arrival.

“We are checking local CCTV, and asking if anyone has any information to contact us via 101 quoting reference number 3740 of 2 March, 2023.”
